The Coronation of north America's
First Crown Diamond

M A R G I E    A L I P R A N D I

It's taken Margie Aliprandi 10 years and nine legs to crest the pinnacle of Neways achievement and earn the coveted rank of Crown Diamond Ambassador.  in doing this, Margie has shattered many preconceived notions of what it possible: in November 1999, Margie became the first distributor in North America to earn Neways' highest honor.

Attaining this recognition is not a "superhuman" feat, according to Margie.  In fact, she is certain that it won't be long before North America is teeming with Crown Diamond Ambassadors.

Persistence, Margie says, is the most important attribute required of distributors aspiring to Crown Diamond - or to any rank on the way to Crown Diamond.  Margie says persistence and seeing the big picture helped her overcome her feelings of discouragement and her inclination to quit during challenging times.  By persisting, however, she learned that "there is a sowing season and a reaping season.  Many people grow discouraged and may quit," she continues, "not realizing that they are in the prime of their sowing season.  As a result, they never see the rich harvest of the reaping season.  Persist in the sowing, and the reaping will come.  I guarantee that it will come, and it will be sweeter than you ever imagined."

Indeed, persistence has marked Margie's

Persistence, in the early stages of Margie's career, often meant balancing her hectic business schedule with spending time with her children. Margie remembers a day in 1990 when she was backing out of her driveway on the way to a business meeting, and her three-year-old son Todd sprinted barefoot from the house and down the snowy driveway, begging Margie not to go. Torn between two responsibilities - financial support versus emotional support for her family - Margie hugged her son and promised him that someday she would take him with her everywhere. True to her word and thanks to her persistence, she now has the means to fulfill her promise: on every business trip, Margie takes one of her children with her. And, in honor of the vital support her children give her, Margie has named her business, AT/NS Enterprises, Inc., after each of her children: Ashley, Todd, Nicole, and Shaun.

Another skill that Margie identifies as critical to aspiring Neways distributors is the ability to utilize upline resources while recruiting. "Your upline contains achievers who are passionate, who see the big picture, and who can impart that to your prospects."  In particular, Margie advocates that distributors use their uplines to help them harvest recruits from their fertile warm markets.

A third attribute that Margie believes is integral to distributors is the willingness to claim ownership of a specific goal. It was while attending the "You Were Born Rich" seminar in September 1999 that Margie declared her own goal to become a Crown Diamond by Convention 2000. Margie says that it was not an easy goal to set. "I wrestled with the decision for a full day, but after setting the goal, a sense of calm washed over me. I knew that it would happen."

Margie's decision also hinged largely on her faith in her downline. "With big dreams of their own, your distributors will work harder for you and themselves than they would work for themselves alone." Accessing this Team Neways spirit of motivation and support is a distributor's greatest asset.

The rest, as they say, is history.  In October, Margie organized a "Go Diamond" conference call in which more than 20 members of her downline declared their goal to go diamond by convention.  By the end of November, Margie had more than nine active diamond ambassador legs.  Margie says that "the power of decision in each of those people's lives, and the miracles that happened the moment they decided, was beautiful."

More than an honor, her Crown Diamond award speaks of a legacy that Margie has left on thousands of people's lives, people whom she has helped soar to the heights of success. "External motivation can be short-lived," Margie says, "but true success comes from internal motivation - when you are deeply driven by a sense of purpose and passion, all of the details take care of themselves."
